Parking Cones, Newsletters, and Highschool Musical.

The past two days have been pretty fun, and also pretty hectic at the same time. Yesterday I found out that the 2nd grade teacher is leaving for good on Sunday. You may remember me saying that I was going to take over 2nd grade eventually- well as of two weeks ago we decided that I wouldn't and would just stay the receptionist and student council sponsor instead.. well thats not the case anymore. She's not leaving me any lesson plans either... so I will just have to wing it on Monday I guess! Prayers are appreciated... and anyone who feels like they are supposed to come to this awesome place and teach 2nd grade should def. let me know ASAP.
Also the gym teacher didn't show up yesterday so guess who got to teach kindergarten PE. You guessed right. Me and Lo got to be referee for some heated hula hoop contests while Lyle stood in the corner and screamed "DONT TALK TO ME!". Later on I did fifth grade gym which consisted of Jack ( the only 5th grade boy) putting parking cones on his head and running into the wall while singing songs from Cheetah Girls. I laughed so hard I slobbered all over my shirt. Lady like aren't I?

Lauren and I have been working on folding and labeling 2,000 newsletters pretty much all week. The other night while we watched the election Isabella started helping us and for some odd reason thinks taping newsletters is the funnest thing in the world. So yesterday she asked uf she could come over and do more. That girl folded and taped 200 of those things in like an hour. We were amazed.
Today was just as crazy. We had Flu shots this morning and the kids all acted as if they had major surgery. So to lighten the mood we brought the camera out to recess with us and got some fun pictures.

One of our favorites. This is Elise from kindergarten.

Tracey and Shosheena from second grade.. they were saying "BEST FRIENDS" in the picture which may be why Shosheena looks angry. These girls are both Navajo. Shosheena is Levander (sheep rider)'s sister.

FINALLY! You get to see the infamous Lyle. I caught him in a happy mood and he thought me being in the tunnel was funny. Hence: getting him to smile in a picture.

Lauren Sandberg: Swing pusher to the stars.

At lunch we hosted a jump rope competition. Quite riveting. 4th grade won with 29 jumps in a row. It was really fun with everyone standing in a circle saying " GO! GO! GO!" a very High School Musical moment. After school we took Isabella with us to get the mail then run Ms. Roy to her house. And now... we are hanging out at Stan and Beth's watching movies with the kids.

I'll end this post with a video of Lauren attempting to climb the climbing wall at recess. I laugh everytime I watch it so I hope you do too.

PS: My parent's bible study group sent us A TON of Snacks for the kids. Our snack closet is full and the kids are loving the snack after first recess. THANKS GUYS! :)
