PICTURE DAY!

Well today was picture day at Hopi Mission School. Actually it was yesterday but the camera was on the fritz so everyone had to wear their nice outfit two days in a row. I remembered to bring Lauren's camera with me today so we took some "Pre-Picture" pictures. So the ones you see are of me with the second grade class (minus Zackery who said he doesn't like to stand in big groups... apparently 7 people has been qualified as a big group.) and me and Lauren- PLUS a sweet ring that I bought from a Hopi lady today (IT'S HANDMADE PEOPLE! LOOK AT THE CRAFTSMANSHIP!). It may be my favorite purchased item in the world.

We only had to lift Lyle once today... then he figured out how to shimmy from the lower bars to the higher bars all by himself- a very proud moment for Lo and I.

Today I was helping a boy in my class read "Click-Clack- Moo" he stumbled through "blanket" but then read "ultimatum" so smoothly I thought I was listening to Miss Wagner. A modern day miracle some may say.

other than that... not a bunch of fun updates... Lauren was just singing backstreet boys at the top of her lungs... which gave me a brief giggle.

Tonight is our very first PTO meeting so we will get to meet some more parents hopefully and be able to build relationships with them...which is our goal- we can't wait to be more involved in the community.

Peace out Hoosiers.
